Spain has Fallen – not like Greece – but Fallen all the Same :  Information Clearing House - ICH

The
Spanish elections – 20 December – were a deceit and
a farce. Nobody seems to notice. At least not those
concerned, the ignorant electorate, those who will
suffer again possibly under a new neoliberal Rajoy
leadership.

UKRAINE On the 19th Day of Christmas...   :  Information Clearing House - ICH

With all the action in Syria, the Ukraine is no
longer a subject for discussion in the West. In
Russia, where the Ukraine is still a major problem
looming on the horizon, and where some 1.5 million
Ukrainian refugees are settling in, with no
intentions of going back to what's left of the
Ukraine, it is still actively discussed. But for the
US, and for the EU, it is now yet another major
foreign policy embarrassment, and the less said
about it the better.

In the meantime, the Ukraine is in full-blown
collapse—all five glorious stages of it—setting the
stage for a Ukrainian Nightmare Before Christmas, or
shortly after.

rare worldwide travel alert Monday evening for U.S. citizens amid several terror threats overseas.

" Current information suggests that ISIL (aka Da’esh), al-Qa’ida, Boko Haram, and other terrorist groups continue to plan terrorist attacks in multiple regions," a statement from the department read. "These attacks may employ a wide variety of tactics, using conventional and non-conventional weapons and targeting both official and private interests."
"Authorities believe the likelihood of terror attacks will continue as members of ISIL/Da’esh return from Syria and Iraq.  Additionally, there is a continuing threat from unaffiliated persons planning attacks inspired by major terrorist organizations but conducted on an individual basis.  Extremists have targeted large sporting events, theatres, open markets, and aviation services.  In the past year, there have been multiple attacks in France, Nigeria, Denmark, Turkey, and Mali.  ISIL/Da’esh has claimed responsibility for the bombing of a Russian airliner in Egypt."

Americans Stand Naked Before Injustice :  Information Clearing House - ICH

By Paul Craig Roberts

October 23, 2015 "Information
Clearing House
" -  In 2000 Larry
Stratton and I published The Tyranny of Good Intentions,
the story of how Americans lost the protection of law. In 2008
Randon House published a new edition. Inthe 15 years that the book
has been in print, only 23,000 Americans were interested to learn
that law is no longer a shield of the people but a weapon in the
hands of the state.

The percentage of Americans who have even the
slightest comprehension of their loss of liberty is so tiny that the
American people have no prospect of regaining their liberty.

Defense attorney Harvey Silverglate has captured a
central part of our book in one short article. As Americans are too
absorbed with reality shows and spectator sports to see their rights
disappearing before their eyes and one short book is too much
distraction from what is important to them, perhaps they can work
their way through one short article

President Obama's ex-pastor Jeremiah Wright: 'Jesus was a Palestinian'

Now Playing Rev. Jeremiah Wright: 'Jesus was a Palestinian'
The controversial pastor who preached at a church attended by President Obama said on Saturday that “Jesus was a Palestinian,” alluded to Israel as an apartheid state and compared “the youth in Ferguson and the youth in Palestine” during a speech in Washington, D.C.
Jeremiah Wright, who led Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago from 1972 to 2008, spoke at a Nation of Islam event titled “Justice or Else!” on the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March.
“The same issue is being fought today and has been fought since 1948, and historians are carried back to the 19th century…when the original people, the Palestinians – and please remember, Jesus was a Palestinian – the Palestinian people had the Europeans come and take their country,” Wright said, according to The Hill.
Wright was one of several speakers during the event on the National Mall, which also included notorious Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Sybrina Fulton, whose son, Trayvon Martin, was killed in Florida in 2012 in a case that inflamed racial tensions, also spoke. Thousands attended, but the National Park Service does not provide more concrete estimates on crowd counts, according to CBS.
And please remember, Jesus was a Palestinian – the Palestinian people had the Europeans come and take their country"

Week One Of The Russian Military Intervention In
Syria

By The Saker

October 11, 2015 "Information
Clearing House
" -  The speed at which
the Russian military operation in Syria was conducted what a

big surprise for the US intelligence community
(which I can
hardly blame as I was just as surprised myself). Make no mistake
here, the Russian force in Syria is a small one, at least
for the time being, and it does not even remotely resemble what the
rumors had predicted, but it is especially the manner in
which it is being used which is very original: as a type of “
force
multiplier
” for the Syrian military and a likely cover for the
Iranian one. This is a very elegant solution in which a small force
achieves a disproportionately big result. This is also a rather
dangerous strategy, because it leaves the force very vulnerable, but
one which, at least so far, Putin very successfully explained to the
Russian people.

A Decisive Shift In The Power Balance Has Occurred

By Paul Craig Roberts

October 11, 2015 "Information
Clearing House
" -  The world is
beginning to realize that a seachange in world affairs occurred on
September 28 when President Putin of Russia stated in his UN speech
that Russia can no longer tolerate Washington’s vicious, stupid, and
failed policies that have unleashed chaos, which is engulfing the
Middle East and now Europe. Two days later, Russia took over the
military situation in Syria and began the destruction of the Islamic
State forces.

Perhaps among Obama’s advisors there are a few who
are not drowning in hubris and can

understand this seachange. Sputnik news reports that some high-level
security advisors to Obama have advised him to withdraw US military
forces from Syria and give up his plan to overthrow Assad. They
advised Obama to cooperate with Russia in order to stop the refugee
flow that is overwhelming Washington’s vassals in Europe. The influx
of unwanted peoples is making Europeans aware of the high cost of
enabling US foreign policy. Advisors have told Obama that the idiocy
of the neoconservatives’ policies threaten Washington’s empire in
Europe.

Most Americans have less than $1,000 in savings, 1 in 5 have none – survey

Two out of three Americans have $1,000 or less in their savings account, if they have one at all, a new survey shows. While young people tend to be broke, older Americans and those in higher income brackets are more likely to have substantial savings.
The sobering numbers come from the Google Consumer Survey commissioned by GoBankingRates, conducted in September from a representative sample of 5,006 respondents.
“It’s worrisome that such a large percentage of Americans have so little set aside in a savings account,” says Cameron Huddleston, a personal finance columnist for GoBankingRates. “They likely don’t have cash reserves to cover an emergency and will have to rely on credit, friends and family, or even their retirement accounts to cover unexpected expenses.”

"The Big Bang singularity is the most serious problem of general relativity because the laws of physics appear to break down there," Ahmed Farag Ali at Benha University and the Zewail City of Science and Technology, both in Egypt, told Phys.org.
Ali and coauthor Saurya Das at the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada, have shown in a paper published in Physics Letters B that the Big Bang singularity can be resolved by their  in which the universe has no beginning and no end.

North Korea doesn't need no stinking badges either!

North Korea doesn’t need “flashy lights” to shine.
Last year, the communist nation was photographed at night from the International Space Station appearing dimly lit when compared to neighboring South Korea and China.
“The darkened land appears as if it were a patch of water joining the Yellow Sea to the Sea of Japan,” NASA noted of the image, which was taken by a member of NASA’s Expedition 38 as the space station flew over East Asia. Even the capital of Pyongyang (population: 3.26 million, as of 2008) is relatively dark compared to smaller cities in neighboring South Korea and China.
Observers speculated the photos were proof that the regime’s leaders have been unable — or unwilling — to create the infrastructure for a functioning power grid.
But according to a report from the British newspaper The Telegraph, a recent editorial published by North Korea’s state-run newspaper Rodong Sinmun dismissed its detractors, saying critics may “clap their hands and get loud over a satellite picture ... but the essence of society is not on flashy lights.”
According to a 2014 report by the Korea Institute for National Unification, electricity in North Korea is “sporadic and unreliable, with homes that have electricity often receiving just a few hours per day.” About half of North Korea’s 24 million people live in extreme poverty, with most homes and apartments “heated by open fireplaces burning wood or briquettes.” And many homes “lack flush toilets.”
And power consumption per capita in North Korea is just 739 kilowatt hours, compared with 10,162 kilowatt hours in South Korea, according to World Bank data.
The editorial ignored a recent speech by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un calling for “great efforts to relieve the shortage of electricity.”
Meanwhile, according to other excerpts published by The Telegraph, the editorial proclaimed that “the sun is going down” on the United States.
“The old superpower that is meeting its sunset may put on a face of arrogance, but it cannot avoid its dark fate,” the Rodong Sinmun editorial said.
